This conclusion is becoming more common when it comes to diagnosing and treating cancer- many cancers, if left alone, will not kill you. In fact, recent studies have concluded that at least 25% of breast cancer and closer to 60% of prostate cancers are over diagnosed and unnecessarily treated.
Of course, knowing when to leave cancer alone vs. when to treat it is still a tough call. But researchers are demanding that diagnostic practices be challenged and changed.
